Rum Cake sliced…
Booze in cakes? I’m in! One of my favorite boozey cakes is Tres Leches Cake. So, seeing this week’s recipe was Rum Cake, I looked forward to baking it. It was my first time using Meyers Rum. Pleasantly surprised.
I liked the taste of the Rum Cake. However, the texture was too dense. I think my almond flour was not ground enough. Next time, I’ll buy the almond flour. Hopefully, it will not turn out dense.
The Rum Cake recipe can be found in the chapter on Cakes, in the book, Bouchon Bakery. I’m baking along with a group, Bouchon Bakery Book Project.
To bake along with the group, first, purchase the book, Bouchon Bakery, by Thomas Keller and Sebastien Rouxel, at a bookstore or online. Submit your food photo to the group, which will be posted on Facebook.
